In Putin’s Russia, to say the slightest thing which in any way “offends” those in power means ten years in jail. Do we want that in the UK? 

It’s time for people who genuinely value freedom of speech, verbal or written (provided it breaks no law) to take a stand against the ‘shut them up, close them down, switch them off, get them sacked’ brigade of one-sided, intolerant hypocrites, of both the political left and right, not to mention their religious counterparts.

They’re hypocrites because they apply double standards – overlooking or applauding over-the-top views they agree with, and only attacking the views they oppose. A plague on all their houses. They all deserve to be thoroughly offended.
